Hatha Flow with Jeannette Okie

Built around thoughtful sequencing, this class blends sun salutations and elements of flow, asana (postures) with clear physical alignment and longer holds, and breath work. Other elements of a balanced and meaningful practice such as pranayama, visualization, meditation and stillness will often be included.

Jeannette has been practicing yoga since 2003 and teaching since 2014. She is a student of Rod Stryker’s ParaYoga, and has completed 400 hours of formal teacher training with Jeanne Heileman at YogaWorks and Annie Carpenter’s SmartFlow. Jeannette believes that by paying attention we can deepen our self-knowledge and begin to have choices, and when we have choices we can live more wisely. By creating a space that facilitates inquiry, and an appreciation of slowing down, her classes aim to empower students with the tools and knowledge to become self-aware, to master their own energy and to live life more skillfully.
